I would just like to say, that I have had this blog for YEARS now, way before all of my buddies jumped on the blogging bandwagon. So what that I only posted things about my kids and never chose to wax poetic on the thing for any random passerby to read?? Well, I'm starting to feel guilty about it, so maybe I'll think about trying something new on this thing in the near future, since I've been content to neglect it for almost exactly a year.
Life with TWO kids is ALWAYS interesting and busy. Never a dull moment, truly. I am so incredibly blessed and I cannot thank God enough for giving me two of the most stubborn, hard-headed, wild and energetic children. I just pray daily that their stubborn personalities can be trained to work for good, and that God is raising them up some very special mates that will be able to deal with their high-strung personalities. Life could not be better. The hubby is home for the summer, the families are good, staying home with the kids is the best thing ever (even on the most stressful of days I remind myself of this), and VBS is almost here and gone. I'm in charge of that this year, and I have nothing but respect for those who have planned it before me. What a challenge!
My God is a great and awesome God who is purposeful and powerful. He is the supplier of all my needs, and he gives me what I need at exactly the right time when I need it. It may not be the way I thought I would get it, or exactly what I thought was needed, but He is always there. That's what having children has taught me - that God is in control, that He knows what you need before you need it, and that His good and perfect will is better than ANY plans I could have made for myself.
I have been reflecting on God's plans for my life a lot recently, and it is amazing to go back and look to see how He has provided for me and taken care of my family. If we will put our trust in Him, he will guide us and use us for His great purposes. I am enjoying the happiness that comes when I give myself FULLY to Him and dedicate myself to serving Him. Hopefully I'll be able to share some of what He's been doing in my life SOON. Here's hoping that SOON isn't a year from now...
